RETIRED headteacher Ken Charlton presents his 22nd solo art exhibition since leaving his desk nine years ago.
He brings his Lasting Impressions to the Little Gallery at Kirkleatham Museum, Redcar, at the weekend.
Mr Charlton, who was headteacher at Hurworth Comprehensive School, Darlington, for 15 years, reckons he has produced more than 300 watercolours since he ended a career in education in 1995.
There will be about 50 works of art, all landscapes, featuring Paddy's Hole, Sleights, Robin Hood's Bay, Scarborough and Runswick Bay, at the exhibition, which runs from Sunday to August 15.
Mr Charlton, from Billingham, said: "If I'm not in the garden or out and about, I'm painting. I took up drawing and painting along with photography after retiring.
"I began to capture scenes recalled from many years of walking and camping in some of the more remote areas of the North.
"I think my interpretations are closer to reality, with considerable attention to detail."
