CABLE operator ntl will pull the plug on Middlesbrough Football Club's television channel unless more investment is found.
Boro TV, based at the ntl headquarters, on Stockton's Preston Farm Business Park, has been broadcasting on the ntl cable network since 1998.
It employs 15 full-time staff.
A Middlesbrough FC spokesman said that while the club understood ntl's position, it was disappointed.
Middlesbrough was the first team to launch its own TV channel.
