AN advice session to explain the help available for war widows and war pensioners is to be held in Durham City next week.
The War Pensioners' Welfare Service, part of the Veterans' Agency, is to hold information days at Durham Masonic Hall, 36 Old Elvet.
The first two-hour session starts at 10am on Friday. This will be repeated, at the same time and place, on the second Friday of each month, with free confidential advice on offer.
Advice and support on War Pensions and allowances will be available, along with information on other benefits.
The War Pensioners' Welfare Service works closely with various groups in dealing with a range of problems a pensioner might be worried about.
