THE future of a free annual music festival is threatened because of a shortage of funds.
An 11th hour appeal for help has been made by the organisers of the Beached festival, held in Scarborough.
Last year's festival, on South Beach, attracted more than 20,000 people.
This year's event, planned to take place in August, will still go ahead, but funding is needed.
The non-profit making venture is now hoping to win support from local businesses and organisations.
Anyone able to help is asked to ring 07870 269956.
