JOB-HUNTERS are being urged to make tracks to a jobs fair.
It takes place on Thursday, in the main square of Middleton Grange Shopping Centre, Hartlepool, from 9am to 5pm.
A number of employers will be present, including Flex-Ability, TK Maxx, Wilkinsons, CJ Garland and Co, Carewatch Hartlepool, Viking Outsourcing, Atwork, the Children's Information Service and recruiters for Walkers Crisps, in Peterlee, County Durham.
The vacancies include retail assistants, production operators, solderers and assemblers, customer service advisors, call centre agents and elderly care and childcare workers.
The jobs fair has been organised by Hartlepool Borough Council's Hartlepool Working Solutions team (HWS), in partnership with Hartlepool Action Team. Staff from both groups will give advice on job and training opportunities.
There will also be information on the support available, including free training courses, bursaries for training or equipment, help to overcome transport difficulties .
Caron Auckland, HWS project officer, said: "There'll be a warm welcome for job-hunters. It's a great way for them to meet some prospective employers, find out about the latest vacancies and talk to us about the help and support we can offer them."
