A DAZZLING red and white Cadillac will be the star of the show when Greased Lightning strikes the stage.
All the hits of the musical Grease will be sung on a stage at Guisborough Priory on Saturday.
And, in an early curtain-raising performance, David Bennett took to the stage with his immaculately restored 1959 Cadillac Fleetwood.
Fancy dress shop boss June Jorgensen also got into costume in advance of the priory's musical weekend.
Following the Grease production, there will be a picnic at the priory, with more musical entertainment on Sunday. This will feature the 20-piece big band, Musicians Unlimited.
Mr Bennett bought his red Cadillac with its white roof ten years ago, taking five years to restore it.
Now, it is a regular on the area's roads - but only in the summer.
Ms Jorgensen expects brisk business at her Disgraceland fancy dress shop in Linthorpe Road, Middlesbrough, for the Greased Lightning night and was happy to bring an example of real 1950s fashion.
Tickets for both shows, priced £12 adults, £8 concessions, are available from Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's tourist information centres (TIC) - in Redcar on (01642) 471921, Guisborough (01287) 633801 and Saltburn (01287) 622422, plus TICs in Middlesbrough, Stockton and Hartlepool.
