TERRIFYING teenagers have been haunting the corridors of Bishop Auckland College.
The students recreated the Monsters' Ball look from US singer Michael Jackson's music video Thriller during a hair and make-up workshop last week.
The makeover was one of many projects at the college's summer school, which showed pupils from local schools some of its vocational courses.
Year ten pupils from Ferryhill Business and Enterprise College, Tudhoe Grange School, in Spennymoor, and St John's RC and Bishop Barrington schools, both in Bishop Auckland, took part in the event.
Younger pupils from Escomb Primary School and St Chad's Primary School, in Witton Park, joined in some events.
Other subjects sampled included engineering, catering, art and design, childcare, information technology, leisure and tourism and sports.
School liaison co-ordinator Jacqui Heads said: "This is the first time we have held a Vocational Summer School, giving over 100 young people an opportunity to take part in a range of vocational activities.
"This was a great fun way of finding out about different career paths. It was such a huge success that we hope it becomes a yearly event."
