A MINI guide on how to deal with terror attacks has been issued to every police officer on Teesside.
The pocket-sized card tells officers how to respond to a chemical, radiological or nuclear attack.
It is to remind officers how to react to terror attacks if they are the first on the scene and complements their training.
Cleveland Police's Assistant Chief Constable, Adam Briggs, told residents not to be overly concerned about becoming terrorist targets.
He said: "We have no need for any particular alarm. We have issued the aide-memoire because we want our officers to be prepared in case there is an alert."
"We do want members of the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious incidents to us."
He the force had only been called to a handful of 'suspicious' package alerts. In one incident workers called police after discovering white powder leaking from a package.
