THOUSANDS of visitors to this year's Great Yorkshire Show will have a chance to see the rare Cleveland Bay horse in action, thanks to a change in the timing of their class.
The decision by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society to return the Cleveland Bay classes to its late morning slot at the show was met with delight by the Cleveland Bay Horse Society (CBHS).
In previous years, Cleveland Bay classes have had this prime-time slot, but last year, to the disappointment of many, they were re-scheduled to an early start-time before many spectators were even on the showground.
Jenny Andrews, of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, said: "We try our best to rotate the time slots each year for the various sections, in order to be as fair as possible to everyone."
The Great Yorkshire Show, one of the country's most prestigious agricultural shows, takes place on July 12-14 at Harrogate, with the Cleveland Bay Section from 11.30am on the Tuesday in the White Rose Ring.
