LOGISTICS company Agility Systems has won a contract worth £250,000 with electrical manufacturer Morphy Richards.
Agility, based in Darlington, will help Morphy Richards' track, manage and distribute its electrical products more efficiently.
Agility will provide warehouse management, accurate identification and location of stock, and efficient picking processes.
The North-East company will also work with Morphy Richards to create a system that will enable the tracking of sales orders at any point in the supply chain.
Since it formed in 1995, Agility has become expert in warehouse efficiency, logistics and information management and has clients across the world.
Simon Storey, business development director at Agility, said: "This very important contract win will assist Morphy Richards in a very complex logistical operation.
"We will be able to give the company increased visibility over its extensive range of stock and real-time control over transactions."
Morphy Richards is part of Glen Dimplex Group, the world's largest electrical heating business. IT director Trevor Burrows said: "With Agility's expertise, we can process our stock movements and track our stock far more effectively."
