A FLAT has been seriously damaged by fire.
Firefighters were called to the first floor property at The Wynd, Pelton, near Stanley, County Durham, at 9.31pm on Sunday night.
Four breathing apparatus were in use with the flat said to be well alight.
Police were also present, although no-one is believed to have been injured.
A message from County Durham Fire and Rescue, timed at 9.55pm, said firefighters were now damping down at the scene.
