FIREFIGHTERS were called to reports of a kitchen fire in a house in Stockton this morning.
One team from Thornaby and one from Stockton attended the incident at 3.30am in St Peter's Road, Stockton.
They used hose reels, breathing apparatus and positive pressure ventilation fans to deal with the fire.
Crews said fire damage was restricted to a small part of the kitchen. However, the room was fully damaged by smoke. Further smoke damage was reported downstairs with moderate damage upstairs.
No injuries were reported.
