POLICE looking for a missing North Yorkshire man have found a body.
A search was launched after Brian Gatenby disappeared from his home at Wentworth Crescent in Whitby at about 2pm today.
Cleveland POlice Air Support Unit joined ground officers looking for the 60-year-old and searches were carried out in beauty spots near Whitby, Pickering and Cleveland.
Earlier this evening officers found Mr Gatenbby's silver Vauxhall Corsa page in a rural area near to Sneaton Thorpe on the North Yorkshire Moors and came across a man's body nearby.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "At this stage it is not believed there are any suspicious circumstances, but an investigation and post mortem will be carried out to establish how he died."
