LIFEBOAT volunteers will answer unusual SOS calls tomorrow to raise funds for the RNLI.
They will be Soaping Our Saloons and serving up Soup Or Sausages during the charity’s biggest annual fundraising day.
The RNLI SOS Day will feature hundreds of events organised around the country, many taking their inspiration from the SOS acronym. Sink Or Swim, Sing One Song and Silly Odd Socks are three of the activities planned.
Spokesman Andy Clift said: “This is a great opportunity to have some fun and raise funds in support of the RNLI.
“As a charity that depends on donations from the public, events like this are vital if we are to carry on saving lives at sea.”
The Soap Our Saloons car wash will take place at RNLI headquarters on Teesside Industrial Estate, Thornaby, near Stockton, from 11am to 4pm.
Call 01642-750585 to book a session.
