Grass roots sport is one of my passions.
Its benefits in terms of both health and combating anti-social behaviour are incalculable.
Tonight, I'm off to Durham City for a meeting of Sports Aid Northern which gives grants to young people trying to make their way in sport.
I'm also proud to be a trustee of the Tony Blair Sports Foundation, which aims to encourage people to become volunteer coaches so that more young people can enjoy the benefits of sport.
The foundation has just launched its new website, featuring everything you need to know about its aims and how you can get involved.
