Re-view of the residential On the 26th October 2009 the people who go to review and a few extras all went to High Force for 4 days. We were all wondering what it was going to be like and we all thought that we wouldn’t mix with the other people that were going because we didn’t know them. To our surprise the people were amazingly nice, we all made friends really well. On the first day it was kind of just a chance to get to know each other and do a few ice breakers to learn everyone’s names. We did a few challenges in teams to work on our team building. We all worked really well as a team. The lady who worked at High Force was so kind and she got our meals ready every night, the meals were delicious! She also made us hot chocolate every night at 9pm which was really nice of her. Every night we would start off with another activity or a game or something to finish the evening off then we could do what we like. We basically used the free time to get to know each other and relax which was really nice, we all bonded really well. The next day we went on around a 2 mile walk which was good and on the way we did different challenges, on the first day we did a challenge where we all had to get on a mat that kept folding into smaller bits, so we had to do some team working to keep on the mat and stand on peoples feet and just to keep on the mat. I kept slipping and sliding in the mud which was funny. We also went on another walk along the river which was longer but good. The highlight of the trip was gorge walking, it was the best experience of the whole trip. I have never experienced anything like it, we walked along behind the waterfall and then jumped off a tree into the water fall which was the best experience ever and I am really glad I did it. Although it was very cold, it was really good. Everyday we go t muddy, wet and cold but it was all worth it. On the afternoon we did some climbing which was quite scary because I had never really done climbing before. The climbing wall was also quite high so it was a challenge. After that we went inside and got nice and warm with hot drinks.
Overall I really really enjoyed The Residential and I would do it again any time
