A MOUNTAIN rescue team book has been launched with the help of a television presenter.
Matt Baker, who appears on Countryfile, signed copies of 40 Years and Counting – a history of the Teesdale and Weardale Search and Mountain Rescue Team.
Mr Baker, originally from Easington, east Durham, wrote the foreword to the book, which charts the formation and development of the service.
Mr Baker took part in book signings at Farmway, in Piercebridge, near Darlington, which was holding an open day, and the Cotswold Outdoor shop, in Durham City, at the weekend.
Fundraising officer Anthony Tubbs said: “Any profits from the book will go towards the purchase of a third vehicle for the team.”
The book costs £9.99 and is available from the Cotswold shop and at twsmrt.org.uk
