A BODY recovered from the River Ouse in North Yorkshire earlier this month has now been identified by police.
They confirmed that it was that of Pierre Le Moignan, a 21-year-old student at the University of York who went missing late last year.
The chemistry student had last been seen at his home in Seventh Avenue, York, at about 10am on November 21.
Items believed to have belonged to Mr Le Moignan, including clothing, a wallet and mobile phone, were later found by a walker under the Millennium Bridge over the River Ouse in York.
Extensive searches of the river and surrounding countryside drew a blank, but on January 4 the body was recovered from the river by the Old Toll Bridge in Selby.
