YOUNGSTERS who visit a museum can set off on the trail of excitement thanks to a booklet produced with the help of parents.
The Toddle Trail booklet, at The Bowes Museum, in Barnard Castle, offers children the chance to explore the exhibitions in a fun way. The guide book, which is aimed at children under five, sets challenges to keep young visitors interested.
It was produced after a four-week project with the toddler group at Bowes village, near Barnard Castle, last year.
Parents and toddlers spent time working with the museum’s education officers – highlighting some of the most appealing and important exhibits on display.
