POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a New Year's Day assault which left a man with facial injuries.
The incident happened near the Arena nightclub on Newport Road, Middlesbrough, at about 5am on Friday, January 1.
The victim ws attacked by three males as he left the club, next to a grassed area on Lamport Street.
As a result, the victim suffered substantial facial injuries requiring hospital and dental treatement.
