There has been very strong feedback about today's souvenir supplement featuring photographs of the big freeze from the air.
Some stunning pictures of the North-East from photographer David Wood. I have to say that Durham looks particularly spectacular.
The only negative feedback is from disappointed Teesside readers because of a lack of pictures from their area.
Their disappointment is entirely understandable and I've been asked to provide an explanation.
There's no point avoiding the issue, the truth is that the helicopter was very expensive, we only had it for an hour and we did as much as we could in that time.
It took off from Newcastle and we made our way down through County Durham and North Yorkshire but we simply ran out of chopper fuel before we made it to Teesside.
I'm really sorry.
