THE search for a man who went missing after leaving his home at the weekend is continuing today.
Ian Simpkin, 36, has not been seen since when he left home on foot at South View, in Wath, near Ripon, North Yorkshire, on Sunday at 10am.
Search teams from North Yorkshire Police and Swaledale mountain rescue resumed their hunt this morning, after being forced to stop at 4pm yesterday when darkness fell.
A police spokesman said the search today is being concentrated on the village itself.
Mr Simpkin, who works in a local scrapyard and as a part time gamekeeper, is thought to have left home without any money or bank cards.
He is 5ft 10in, stocky, with short blond hair and blue eyes. It is believed he was wearing a green fleece top, blue jeans, a dark woollen hat and a green Wellington boots.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0845-60-60-247.
