SEVERE weather warnings were lifted for much of the North-East and North Yorkshire today, although experts are predicting more snow for Tuesday.
A Press Association weathercentre spokeswoman said the region would be largely dry through much of Monday, although a northerly wind could mean a chance of wintry showers in coastal areas. Inland areas should remain largely dry throughout.
Clouds are expected to increase overnight tomorrow night, with a band of snow heading southwards during the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Experts are not sure how much snow will fall. The band should have headed further south by Tuesday lunchtime, but light snow showers are forecast for later in the week, particularly on Thursday.
