Last night 25 fearless supporters walked on red hot embers to raise funds for our Hospice in Bishop Auckland.
Rather than light fireworks, our fearless firewalkers ventured to Wolsingham and after two hours of inspirational coaching, before a large crowd, they bravely stepped out (quickly) across the red hot bed. Among those raising funds, for the Hospice, was my wife Julie - generously sponsored by family and friends including the former MD of the Northern Echo, David Kelly, who, gallant as he always is, said that he would have preferred her to warm her feet in font of the fire. Thank you all. Its not too late to support this event : www.justgiving.com/julie-leggatt-chidgey
