THE full programme for a lights festival has been announced.
Streets, bridges and the River Wear, in Durham City, will be lit up from Thursday until Sunday, along with processions and events.
There will be seven commissions, with more than 50 artists and performers taking part in the Lumiere festival.
The pages of the Lindisfarne Gospels will be projected across Durham Cathedral, huge neon-style creations based the sketches of prisoners will be shown nearby, and the faces of 100 North-East people will be projected onto buildings in Durham Market Place.
There will be a procession through the streets on Friday, with a parade the following evening.
Free Lumiere guides and torches will be available from Tesco, in the market place, between 4pm and 7pm from Wednesday onwards, or from Clayport Library, in Millennium Place, during opening hours.
