COUNCIL officials are asking people what they think of the way they provide information about bus services.
Under the Transport Act 2000, Durham County Council has to have a policy on what sort of bus service information is provided and how it is done.
The council’s existing arrangements are currently being reviewed and people are being asked for their views.
Head of Transport Adrian White said: "It’s vital that people wishing to travel by bus are able to find clear and accurate information about services quickly and easily.
"We want to make sure that people in County Durham can get the information they need, when they need it.
"That’s why we’re asking people to tell us their views on the proposals set out in our Strategy for Bus Information."
People can read the strategy on the council’s website at www.durham.gov.uk Comments should be e-mailed to transinfo@durham.gov.uk or by post to Stuart Woods, Passenger Transport, Regeneration and Economic Development, Durham County Council, County Hall, Durham, DH1 5UQ.
