A COUPLE hit the jackpot when they won their dream honeymoon – three years after getting married.

Terrix and Raymond Melville will fly to Mauritius after winning a holiday through online bingo site tombola.co.uk The couple, from Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, married in Las Vegas three years ago.

They were joined on their big day by friends and family so did not have a honeymoon.

But when Mrs Melville won a prize draw, in which 8,000 hopefuls guessed where the website’s television adverts were filmed – Mauritius, she landed the couple’s dream honeymoon.

The 52-year-old said she never imagined she would travel somewhere so exotic.

Mrs Melville, a call centre team manager, was at work when tombola told her she had won and immediately rang her husband and partner of 21 years.

She said: “Our tombola holiday will be our honeymoon, albeit a late one. We have a year to take the holiday, so we’ll probably go for my birthday, just after Valentine’s Day.

“We’ll leave the biting cold and dark days for a week of warm sunshine, blue skies and walking hand in hand along the golden sands of a beautiful tropical island. It’s a dream come true.”

The holiday was the second win for Mrs Melville, who regularly plays bingo on tombola.co.uk.

Three months ago, she won a family holiday to Miami and Orlando.
