ART SHOW: Gillie Cawthorne with one of the Durham Cathedral works
AN exhibition of pastel work by an artist from the region has gone on display.
Gillie Cawthorne’s Out of the Shadows exhibition will be in the foyer of Durham Town Hall until Monday, November 30.
The show marks Ms Cawthorne’s return to pastels and portraits after several years of concentrating on watercolours.
Works include two images of Durham Cathedral painted for its 900th anniversary, both more than 5ft wide.
