THE life of Sir Bobby Robson is to be remembered in a medal from the Royal Mint.
It said the honour was normally reserved for members of the Royal family, but that it was right to extend it to Sir Bobby.
A portion of the proceeds from sales will be donated to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, the charity the former Newcastle United and England manager founded.
So far it has raised more that £2m towards the early detection and treatment of cancer.
