THE funeral of a teenager who was allegedly killed by a man she met on a social networking site will take place next week, police said today.
A service for Darlington">Ashleigh Hall, 17, will take place in her home town of Darlington, County Durham, on Tuesday.
Her body was found in a field in Sedgefield last Monday. The night before she told her mother that she was going to stay at a friends house.
A post mortem examination revealed she was smothered, police said yesterday.
The funeral service will take place at St Cuthbert's Church, Darlington, at 3pm on Tuesday. A private cremation will follow.
:: Homeless Peter Chapman, 32, was charged with kidnap, manslaughter and failing to notify of a change of address as required by the Sex Offences Act, and will appear before Teesside Crown Court in January.
