I'm getting used to getting a ticking off - and I got another one last night when I went to speak to St Paul's and St Mark's Women's Fellowship in Darlington.
"There was a terrible spelling mistake in the paper the other day," scolded the chairman.
We'd carried a story about history being made at Durham Cathedral when the first girls sang in the choir.
The story referred to rehearsals in the cathedral's "Quire Stalls".
"That's not how you spell choir," I was told.
When I got back to the office, I checked the spelling and "Quire" is an ancient spelling of "Choir" and the cathedral has had "Quire Stalls" since the 1600s.
So there.
