Chatting with Tupper the other night, something interesting always crops up!

He was reminiscing about the time when he was involved with Cockfield football club and a few of the lads were asking him who used to play for them in those days.

Names like Kemp-Ambler, Alderson, Milroy etc, etc. Then a couple of names that no one had heard of; Jones and Radcliffe.

“We signed them during the season but I don’t know whether we should have done” says Tupper.

“Really!” says Ronnie, “Were they Eligible?”

“Nah” says Tupper, “THEY WERE WITTON PARK’ERS!”
