A MAN was last night fighting for his life after suffering a serious head injury when he was ejected from a nightclub.
Police are seeking witnesses to the incident at Inside Out, in Beaumont Street, Darlington, early on Sunday morning.
A spokesman for Durham Constabulary said the man was involved a minor disturbance with another reveller.
The injury occurred when the pair were ejected by doorstaff.
The man was taken to James Cook Hospital, in Middlesbrough, where he was last night in a critical condition.
Officers would like to speak to any witnesses including the second man ejected from the club, who was wearing a Riddler costume from the film Batman Forever.
Anyone with information should call Detective Sergeant Sean Jackson, of Darlington CID, on 01325-742148 or Crimestoppers on 0800-555-111.
