A FARM shop is in the running for four awards in a national competition.
Knitsley Farm Shop, at Knitsley, near Consett, County Durham, has been shortlisted in the Farm Retail Awards run by the National Farmers’ Retail and Markets Association.
It is up for the best new farm shop, the own and local award, and the best on-farm cafe and best onfarm butchery awards.
The winners will be announced on January 26.
Rachael Jewson, who owns the shop and cafe with her husband, Edward, said: “We have achieved a lot in a short space of time, having worked hard to get the message out and produce great quality food, and feel very much part of the community here.”
