A 53-year-old man appeared in court this morning charged with a sexual assault on a girl in a Darlington park.
Steven Davies, of Jedburgh Drive, Darlington, entered no plea to one charge of sexual assault on a girl aged under 13 at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court.
He was remanded in custody and will appear back before the same court on Wednesday.
The alleged offence relates to an incident in West Park, Darlington, in July.
