There is a real danger that the BNP is going to be let off the hook following Nick Griffin's disastrous perormance on Question Time.
Suggestions by MPs that the BBC played into the BNP's hands by changing the format of Question Time are muddying the waters.
What does anyone expect when the BNP appears on the BBC's flagship political debate programme?
The discussion is bound to be dominated by issues surrounding the BNP. If the BBC hadn't put Griffin under examination for some of the disgusting things he's said, they would have been condemned for going too easy on him.
This was a rare occasion when the content needed to focus on what the BNP under Griffin really stands for.
Let's take satisfaction from the fact that Griffin was given an opportunity, failed to grasp it, and move on.
