POLICE are trying to trace a driver who left the scene of an accident in which a motorcyclist was injured.
The incident took place on Thames Road in Billingham at 6.05pm last night.
Police said the Suzuki motorcycle was travelling towards Sandy Lane West when a car coming in the opposite direction turned in front of him into Wolviston Mill Lane.
The motorcyclist, a 22-year-old man from Billingham, had to brake sharply, lost control of his bike and fell off.
He was taken to hospital with a broken wrist and grazing to his knees.
The car driver did not stop.
Witnesses said the vehicle was a silver estate car.
