DETECTIVES are investigating the alleged rape of a woman in York.
The attack is said to have taken place in a children's play area, in the Tang Hall area of the city, at about 10pm, on Tuesday.
A man has been arrested in connection with the alleged incident, and released on conditional bail pending further inquiries.
North Yorkshire Police stressed such incidents were very rare in the city.
