FOODS from afar are on offer in the region with the return of a Continental food market.
The twice-yearly market, featuring produce from countries including Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Poland and Iran, is in Durham Market Place until Sunday.
It was officially opened yesterday by Councillor Dennis Southwell, the Mayor of Durham.
Colin Wilkes, managing director of Durham Markets, said: “We’re delighted to see the return of the continental market just in time for Christmas.
“This season’s event looks all set to be another great success.”
The market is open from 9am to 5pm today and tomorrow, and between 10am and 4pm on Sunday
