Dan Giffard has released the full line up for his Giffardsson’s Farewell benefit meeting at Redcar on Thursday 22nd October, and it looks sensational.
He will have the new Elite League champions Wolverhampton with all their big guns blazing, and top PL men Joe Haines and Lee Complin drafted in at reserve.
In his Redcar Select team, managed by Bears’ captain Gary Havelock, he has concentrated on tracking friends he has made in speedway who are particularly noted for exciting racing, headed by World Under-21 Champion Darcy Ward plus Eddie Kennett, Simon Stead and Dan’s own protégé Ty Proctor.
Redcar’s top average man Ty Proctor says “Of course I am happy to ride in his meeting, I wouldn’t miss it for the world and I hope the crowd is massive. The lineup is very good, he has a lot of good friends in speedway and it’s good that they all want to honour him.”
Full lineups:
REDCAR SELECT: Eddie Kennett, Ben Barker, Darcy Ward, Ty Proctor, Simon Stead, Chris Kerr, Cam Woodward. Team manager Gary Havelock.
WOLVERHAMPTON: Freddie Lindgren, Nicolai Klindt, Adam Skornicki, Tai Woffinden, Peter Karlsson, Joe Haines, Lee Complin. Team manager Peter Adams.
GIFFARDSON’S FAREWELL, REDCAR, THURSDAY 22nd OCTOBER, REDCAR SELECT v WOLVERHAMPTON.
