AN eight-year-old boy suffered serious injuries after he was hit by a car whilst crossing the road in Redcar last night.
The boy, who suffered a deep cut to the head, was detained at the James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough.
Police are seeking witnesses to the incident, which involved a Vauxhall Vectra which was driving along Recar Lane at about 7.48pm on Tuesday.
