A MAN arrested by police in connection with a fire that killed two young jockeys in North Yorkshire has been released from police bail.
The 37-year-old local man was arrested shortly after the fire broke out in flats in Norton, near Malton, in the early hours of September 5, leading to the deaths of Jamie Kyne, 18, and Jan Wilson, 19.
A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Police said the man had answered his bail on October 18 and had been released.
Police are still treating the case as suspicious and will continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the blaze.
A police statement said: "The man arrested in connection with the suspicious fire at flats in Buckrose Court, Norton, Malton, has been released from bail.
"A team of detectives continue to work on the case and the fire is still being treated as suspicious.
"Police are still waiting for the results of forensic testing and toxicology reports."
