SO Darlington have acquired another manager and assistant.
For a club languishing in 92nd place in the Football League, I would have thought a striker would have taken priority over another manager.
Craig Liddle, already on the payroll and much respected by fans, would have done a good job.
The money spent on Steve Staunton and Kevin Richardson was ill-advised and it seems the new owner does not realise what was needed was a goalscorer.
Five defeats of 1-0 confirms that.
Most, if not all managers, are as good as their players.
So another opportunity to improve the fortunes of Darlington FC has passed and I really fear for the future.
Hugh Pender, Darlington
