A woman had to be cut free from a car after it ended on its side in a field near Low Hogg Street, Trimdon Colliery, County Durham, shortly before 8am this morning.
Fire crews attended and used cutting equipment to free the woman who was taken to hospital. The extent of her injuries are unknown.
Firefighters were also called to the northbound A19 in County Durham at 8.15am after reports of a collision between two private motor vehicles. Cutting equipment was again used to free an injred woman.
