DURHAM police are experiencing problems with their non-emergency number.
Engineers were working flat out this morning to rectify the problem with the 0345-60-60-365 number but residents are reassured the 999 emergency number is still working.
Those with non-urgent problems are asked to call back later but people with a genuine emergency can still reach officers on 999.
