TWO television chefs roared into a North-East theatre yesterday to film their Christmas show.
The Hairy Bikers visited the Sunderland Empire on new motorbikes to cook up a treat.
The stage played host to a makeshift kitchen for the programme, which will be shown in December.
A meal was cooked for the cast of Lord of the Dance, who are performing at the theatre until tomorrow.
The Bikers even found time to practise some Irish dancing with the lead dancers from the show.
Andrew Rawlinson, general manager of the Empire said: “It has been a pleasure to host the Hairy Bikers. We’ve enjoyed the whole experience, especially the cooking smells that have been wafting up from the stage.”
