As part of parent company Honda (UK)'s commitment to protecting the environment, Springfield Honda, in Durham, has chosen to support BTCV, a charity which was set up in 1959 and has a successful history of environmental conservation volunteering throughout the UK and around the world.

The initiative is part of Honda's long-established commitment to doing things which make a big difference, whether it's creating a zero emission car, a motorcycle with an airbag or a generator to power an Antarctic expedition.

BTCV relies heavily on voluntary donations, and Springfield Honda plans to boost the charity's coffers by donating £5 to it every time a test drive is booked online through www.drivespringfield.com.

BTCV's work is only made possible by people who want to make a difference to their community and create a better environment where people are valued, included and involved.

BTCV's values have been developed through four decades of a hands-on approach to conservation activities.

During this time it has adapted to meet the changing needs of people, the communities in which they live and the quality of their environment. A healthy environment and improved biodiversity is at the heart of all BTCV's activities.

To this end, BTCV offers excellent opportunities for successful partnerships with the private sector, such as Springfield Honda.

Opportunities exist for employee, customer and wider community engagement, showing commitment to building healthy and sustainable communities from which the business draws both clients and workforce.
