Edinburgh born vocalist Dot Allison has released new album Room 7 ½, it is an unusual and arresting collection of heartfelt pleas demanding true love amongst an atmospheric-noir backdrop of some beauty. The album is produced by PJ Harvey, producer Rob Ellis and Dot herself. The 11 songs on Room 7 ½ are all delivered in her unique vocals, occasionally interrupted by the eternally youthful yells of musical legend Peter Doherty and Paul Weller. Track Love’s Got Me Crazy was written with Weller and the album’s other duet, the frenetic, I Wanna Break Your Heart is with Doherty. Dot has also written for several films including the song Colour Me from Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Sheepskin Tearaway from 40 Year Old Virgin plus a few more.
