THIRTEEN proved to be a lucky number for a judo club when it competed in an international tournament.
Spennymoor Judo Club took 13 members to the Kent International competition, held at Crystal Palace in London, and celebrated wins for two of them.
Caitlin McEwan fought all the way to a gold medal and Emily Christon showed her skills to land a bronze.
More than 900 competitors from across the UK, Holland, France and Belgium took part in the prestigious event.
Club coach, Glynn Fidgeon, said: "Spennymoor Judo Club members all showed some tremendous skill during their fights, I am very proud of them all."
