AN investigation is underway after a woman was found dead at a North-East beauty spot.
The woman, believed to be in her 50s, was discovered at the foot of Highcliff Nab cliffs, near Guisborough, at around 11.30am on Saturday.
Emergency services attended the scene but the woman could not be revived.
Cleveland Police are not treating the incident as suspicious.
Barry Warrington, of Cleveland Search and Rescue Team, said: "On Saturday morning the Cleveland Search and Rescue Team was called by the police to assist with an incident in Guisborough Woods in the vicinity of Highcliff.
"The incident involved a female who was fatally injured."
A total of 15 members of the Cleveland Search and Rescue Team were in attendance together with personnel from the air-ambulance.
